Overlord is a dark fantasy anime series, which is an adaptation of the Japanese of the light novels by Kugane Maruyama. The illustrator of the series is So-Bin, while the director is Naoyuki Itou. The anime series has three seasons, and fans are expecting another season. But nothing is confirmed so far. In July 2015, season 1 graced screens, following two more seasons. Season 2 premiered in January 2018. And season 3 premiered in July 2018. The series received positive reviews from the audience.
Production of the show is through Madhouse. Furthermore, Funimation licenses the series for international broadcast. Season 1 consisted of 13 episodes and followed the light novel series from 1 to 3. Moreover, two compilations films also graced screens in February and March. In the finale of the movie, season 2 confirmed, as Overlord II. Season 2 also consists of 13 e[episodes and covers volumes 4 to 6. Overlord III went on air in July 2018 and followed volumes 7 to 9.
Overlord Season 4: Release Date
Unfortunately, the release date is not out yet. There are no confirmations for season 4.We’re still waiting after Overlord III for another upcoming season. But season 4 will likely make way sooner or later. As the series follows the light novels, a lot is left to be covered. Official announcements can make way sometime around mid-2020. Until then, we can binge-watch the three thrilling seasons of Overlord!

The voice- cast for season 4 of Overlord is still unknown. But, we’re hoping that the voice cast from previous seasons returns to reprise their roles.

Overlord Season 4: Plot
In the previous season, we witness, Ainz finding the sorcerer Kingdom, along with Albedo. Furthermore, the other NPCs also pledged their alliance to him. But Ainz seems to struggle with managing the Kingdom, and we have Albedo volunteer to help as the right hand. Speculations are that in season 4, Albedo will be training the Elder Leeches to be Public officials for the Kingdom. We may also see her becoming involved with the political affairs of the Sorcerers Kingdom.
If we go according to the previous seasons, the upcoming season will pick up from the finale of season 3. It may cover the volumes 10 to 12. Furthermore, we may see the development of Ainz’s character in season 4. New additional characters may also be a part of the upcoming season, along with more fantasy action scenes.
Overlord Season 4: Storyline
The premise of Overlord, follows the life of Ainz, a gamer. While he’s’s playing, he is inside while the game servers shut down. He finds himself in Nzarick, the game world. He pursues conquests after the conquest to have world domination. The previous seasons of the series followed Npheria and Enri at Carne Village. Revelations take place, as their advancement has connections to Ainz’s plans for the sorcerers Kingdom.
