Essentially speaking Angels and Demons represent two extremities. “Aziraphale” an angel and “Crowley” a demon hail from divergent schools of thought and as biblical history shows us, are never meant to work together. “Good Omens” takes an ambitious leap by showcasing a never seen before alliance between the good and the bad. With the world on the brink of destruction, can two opposing forces work to save the planet from Armageddon?

Release Date: “Good Omens Season 2”

“Good Omens” is based on a book of the same name written by Neil Gaiman and Terry Pratchett. The authors always had plans to convert the novel into a movie to bring the story to life on the silver screen however failed to do so. The script for a TV series was written by Terry Jones and Gavin Scott however the unfortunate death of Terry Pratchett led to a delay in filming due to Neil Gaiman being averse to go ahead with the project without Pratchett.

He later changed his mind after finding out about his late co-author’s desire to finish the project. Amazon Studios approved the project’s production in collaboration with BBC Studios on January 19, 2017 with BBC Worldwide set to handle distribution. What followed was 109 days of filming in South Africa and the United Kingdom for a critically acclaimed Season 1. “Good Omens” was released on Prime Video on May 31, 2019, and aired in the UK as a weekly show.

With no confirmation from either of the studios, fans will have to wait and watch out for updates. Only time will tell if the show warrants a sequel.
